What’s New for the 2017 Tacoma?

This fall, Toyota is introducing an all-new and much-updated version of the Tacoma pickup truck. This one is sure to turn more than just a few heads thanks to a wealth of new features and a number of important structural changes. One of the main goals of the 2017 Toyota Tacoma is to offer drivers a truck that matches outstanding performance to class-leading fuel economy. Here are some of the new features found in the 2017 Tacoma.

The exterior of the Tacoma will see a new body and chassis combination built using an array of carbon fiber and aluminum throughout. These materials have been chosen in part because they are significantly lighter than steel, helping to reduce fuel consumption, and in part for their durability. This year the grille has also been enlarged for better cooling in hot weather.

The interior of the 2017 Toyota Tacoma may well be the most luxurious and technologically advanced truck to have come from Toyota to date. Interior materials are either cloth of SofTex in all trim levels, except the Limited, which comes with leather upholstery. All doors feature extra soundproofing to help minimize road noise, making the interior one of the quietest in its class.

Standard for 2017 is a 6.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, HD radio, rearview camera, automatic climate control, and keyless entry and ignition. The Tacoma will also come with a Qi cordless charging pad for properly equipped smartphones, and a blind spot monitoring system built into the side mirror.
